Thanks Pablo. Not questioning you but that sounds to simple and easy...

Not trying to say anyone is wrong, but i have owned Peterbilts IH KW and a Marmon and i have never had one that ride height was measured from center of the axle

I was able to talk to a different person at the dealership. He seemed to know a little more than previous people I have spoken with. They're going to try and change the input angle by shimming the torque arms above the diffs. Such a learning experience. The truck has always had a slight vibration in between acceleration and coast. He seems to think this is the culprit. Lets hope so. Interestingly he also said the way the truck sits should not have made such an adverse affect on the input angle and seemed to think it was caused be something else. Stretched frame, moved axles, etc

When my Freightliner was brand spankiong new, they had to shim the steady bearing bracket 1/2 of an inch and then it was as smooth as could be.

Bingo. Dealer found out problem. When the suspension was upgraded to a 400 some spacers were not in. Said the ag200 had a 52"wb and the ag400 has a 54"wb.
Ruthless Thanks this. -
The AG400 is available in a 52" or 54" spread. Putting the spacers in the tourqe arms will correct the pinion angle, but the rearends being two inchs farther apart causes some issues with driveline length and the airbags not being plumb.Xtreme Thanks this.

You are correct I guess it came with 54 but when they ugraded to the ag400 they did not take spacers out of the sway bars or something like that. They were " pushing " the diffs out. I was wrong when I stated spacers in torques arms. I am learning, slower than id like. It really makes a difference on who u speak with at the dealer. Some guys care about fixing ur problem some just care about getting their 8 hours in. Again I thank everyone for their response.

Rookie question, I've been driving over 10 years, just got into a '15 T800, it has a "suspension raise" switch, what would I ever use that for?
-
I've seen more then one van hung up on hump coming out of customer's drive to the street. As soon as those landing pads touch it start's dumping air out of tractor suspension making situation worse.
"Raise" valve is worth it's weight in gold when this happens..
Also, comes in REAL handy for us lowboys to clear "humps" in intersections, RR tracks, or just getting on and off a Cat scale, especially when stretched out.
Be very careful when raised up. Just creep along!!
It puts drive line/U joints in bind/extreme angle while moving, has saved my but several times, just be careful.Oxbow and Chain Drive Thank this.
