pro driver, you hit that one perfect,my sentiments too. I think its harder on the newbees because they are being taken advantage of by these bigger companies,I guess in my case,I always like the little folks in trucking and enjoyed helping them grow to more trucks and drivers. I voted piece of cake for me,because i have had harder jobs in my life, moving furniture, jackhammering all day in 110 weather in boston, trucking is where i will always be.Hey,have a fine night to all.

That's one of the parts that I can't get over myself, which most likely means I won't be driving a truck for very long. The best is when it comes from your company's office too.
I was called "Boy" last night from a afterhours jerko, and where I come from that's not a nice thing to say. Let's just say we had a sharing of words that would end up being nothing but red removed text on this forum. -
...just glad I can Epoxy and spray flat white Krylon paint,...
my avatar, had to fix the driver headlight from a dinger in Port Jersey,... -
Well for i'll be going back into trucking again in a few short weeks
but any how i use to be a correctional officer for the state prison
i find it more stressful driving trucks then work in the prison with no protection
on atleast i knew where the crooks -n- rats were they had thier own offices
-n- came out when they had too like around quiting time LOL
so yeah i say trucking is a stressful job -
Every Job can be defined as "Hard" or "Easy".
It depends on the persons perspective.
If you like what your doing, Then it's not so hard.
If you think what your doing is "Hard"
Then do something else.
-
It depends on how serious you take things. And how easy you can entertain yourself going down the road, I practice the male equivalent to kegels and record myself on a recorder with good ideas that I have.
-
I chose #4 myself. Not that I would rather difuse a nuclear warhead, but I believe that trucking does take some amount of skill..I mean your not exactly jumping into your automatic pickup and taking off. You have to know how to work them gears, have the patience to deal with every thing on a daily basis and the nerve to just drive the big ##* things period, especially when you first get into the industry.
-
You guys have gears? I only got R N D M L. Only two pedals too. I must not be a real truck driver. ;O)
-
Sure ya are a real truck driver...if you drive a truck of course. But you know what I mean, not just any Tom or Jane can jump into a truck and drive it perfectly right away, it takes practice as with anything. And not everyone has the nerve to stick with it either, don't you agree?
-
I'm just giving you a hard time, people do the same to me because I drive an automated. Its funny I never hear any laughs about it in stop and go traffic.
