Do you have links to prove the entitlements that companies are receiving from the government? I read and hear about this all of the time, but I have yet to see proof.
Not all good driving jobs are gone.....yet. As far as drivers who are borderline homeless: I've seen entire families that live in trucks, 4 or more people including the driver, trying to live and make a living in a truck. It's a sad sight.
Most of us normal people would go crazy anyway. There are some people that don't mind staying out for extended periods of time. I've stayed out for almost 3 months once just to test my limits and patience. No more of that crap.
Gotta "pay your dues"!
By that definition, then what would be considered as "upper class"? Someone making 45k a year? Maybe everyone shouldn't vote.

You're not learning anything at CRST other than sitting for long hours and holding a steering wheel; NOTHING! They make loads of money I'm sure on their time sensitive freight contracted freight while their drivers make horse squat.
I started with them 20 1/2 years ago making 11 cents a mile split, so they haven't even increased their pay for their beginning teams? -
No they havent increased jack! Except maybe wat goes into their pockets! LMAO

So all of the existing laws get thrown out when the House changes hands? Somehow that just sounds too good to be true.
Is there a trucking company that doesn't do drug testing then? That might be good information to have...in case I run out of K2.
Yes, much better to vote for Democrats who will pass so many regulations that we can't sit down and fart without getting a ticket.
So get a truck with a Webasto, and thermal engine control.
At least there's one thing I don't have to panic about. I'm already crazy.
Yes, much better to have someone watching over your shoulder every minute, and to be treated like a child while you flip burgers for minimum wage.
I don't get involved with the politics at work. I don't even walk into a terminal except to pick up the paperwork for a load. Only the stupid ones care about politics, or gossip. The rest of us are busy making money.
If people want to drive a truck for minimum wage, then I suppose that's what the labor market will bear, which is acceptable. I wouldn't get out of bed for minimum wage, but what you do is up to you.
There is Obama, for hope and change. His voters believe that he will pay their rent and utility bills, out of his stash. -

If there is an R by the name SC votes for them. Most of the voters here have no clue. They voted for our new Governor thinking she was a Native American Indian. They don't even know her real name is Nimrata, not Nikki.
