That's a bit troubling from a personal privacy stand point. However if you are running legal and wearing your CPAP the logs will match up. That wouldn't bother me too much as long as they don't make me plug the CPAP into the qualcom. I sleep so much better with mine I will even put it on for a short nap.

For years I thought I never had dreams. The truth was I never reached REM sleep long enough. Now strange things fill my head at night. :biggrin_25518:

really? i cant sleep with mine on. i have been on it for a week now and i am sleeping worse and worse every night. i wake up every couple of hours and as soon as i hit the 4 hour mark i take the mask off. i might make it to 5 or 6 hours but very rarely. i wake up more tired cause i am waking up so often through out the night. i hate the #### thing. i was never this tired before. i could stay up for days no problem. now if i stay up longer then 12 hours im dead tired. this machine sucks.

oh but my numbers look better. my ahi or whatever it is.

    big deal.

Sounds like your machine is set up wrong. If the pressure setting is too high it will feel like you are fighting the machine and will get no rest. In my case the sleep lab had their machine set on 40 which was WAY TOO high for me and it felt like I was sticking my head out of a moving vehicle at 60 mph and trying to breathe. After a miserable night with their machine I spoke with the sleep doctor and they reduced the pressure to 10 psi. Works perfect now. I do not have to fight the machine and it does not overwhelm me.

It took me several weeks to get comfortable wearing the face mask at night. I tried the nose pillows and the nose mask but I tend to breathe through my mouth alot so a full face mask is needed.

the right mask is very important and you will have to find the right one......i had to reduce my pressure too ive tried it at different levels and 10.4 is the max i can deal with just change it until your comfortable it's easy to do....

with cpap you r not allowed to adjust your own pressures. that would be practicing medicine. thats why they have doctors. i will not do that.

Um actually you can adjust your own cpap.
There is specific instructions on line which walk the user through the process step by step.

Otherwise spend your money to go see a "doctor" then go see your cpap supplier and have them "adjust" the pressure for you. takes all of maybe 2 minutes.

I have adjusted mine as needed. I do not need to pay a quack for their "permission" to change a setting on the machine I "own."

actually mine adjusts mine wirlessly. they check my info wirlessly and if it needs adjusting they can adjust it. i dont have to do anything.

sleep apnea is a medical condition. same as anything else. when you get a medical condition (flu, cancer, aids, brain tumor) you go to a professional correct? you wouldn't try diagnosing it all your self. same thing here. its a medical condition. you can adjust it but how do you know if its doing what its suppose to be doing? you dont.
