Hey guys I'm hoping somebody might know the answer to this. A buddy of mine has one of these that's a short hood. He wanted to know if the factory ever produced any Gold Nugget longhoods? Only 1,500 "Gold Nuggets" were produced that year. The local kenworth dealer was able to tell him from the VIN that his was 300th something KW to roll off the assembly line that year but he's not sure what # out of 1500 his truck is. It's a really sweet old truck in great shape only 300,000 original miles, one owner. Cat motor with white paint and a 13 speed. He's restoring it and wants to make it a longhood. Thanks!

Thanks for the links. Got some grief on another forum saying it should be done original. That's not really what they want to do with their truck. They just wondered if any were ever built as long hoods from the factory. Imo it's not a '69 Boss Mustang, it'd be sacriledge to customize a car like that, it's a truck.. build it how you like.. It's a toy that will mostly sit in a shop from now on. It'll never be sold or earn another dollar as a work truck...

edited: the more I read on that one forum the more I think it might be best to restore original. Not my truck though and I don't care how they do it. If I can make time for it sometime in the next few weeks I'll try to get some interior/exterior photos posted up of the truck it's still all original now. Nothing's been taken apart yet.

Isn't that the one the made for the "Goldfinger" movie, if so, I'd keep it stock, I think they made 'em long too, didn't know about the coe though. I remember seeing an ad with it doing a wheelie in the movie.
