The showers in the moriarty TA are nice! It has a modern southwestern feel unlike all the other plain showers.

I have been wondering about this for YEARS!!! I know they will blow up, so how do they get potato chips to a high altitude location?

Seeing as how I'm one of the last people to find out that a driver friend of mine was killed just before Christmas, yeah it's not my week.

Anyone see the commercial for the new Chevy Silverado that sacked a tanker going up hill? I have a couple problems with it.. We all know when that 4 wheeler towing his piece of crap 2000 lb trailer sacks up, the minute they get ahead of us they are going to slow down to a speed slower than we were going in the first place. Now they put Jake brakes on it too! And shows a big truck on the run away ramp while the 4 wheeler with the 2000 lb trailer cruises down. Do you even need the makes for a 2000 lb load? Now these guys are going to compare themselves to us more than they already do and park in the truck parking areas!

the bags have air in them so the bag won't completely implode at lower altitudes and loose enough so they don't explode at higher altitudes. Just can't really over Eisenhower with them at 12,000 feet. Highest point on I 80 is about 7600 and I 40 is about 7750. And you take one of the lower routes.

And the tanker is sitting right at the edge of the runaway truck ramp too. because obviously, if he needed it, he wasn't going to mess up the whole runaway truck ramp...

    I hate that #$)%*#% commercial.

Yeah, big difference between 80k and 15k. That commercial makes us look like a bunch of #### offs that don't know how to drive our vehicles; when in reality its that pickup towing the trailer you should watch out for. I see them in the ditch more than big trucks.:biggrin_25510:

Hey David, you beat me! I got in around 9:00 this morning and finally got a room about noon. I'm still trying to thaw out! :biggrin_25523: Shock doesn't even cover what I felt at the sight of drivers here in shorts and flip flops! :biggrin_25521: :biggrin_2559:
I've studied the CDL manual, but if someone were to ask me a question right now all they would get is a blank stare...:biggrin_25524: time to hit the book again. See you tomorrow morning in class.
