yes I did. In my opinion they are the only truly legitimate deal going for people with some credit problems. ALthough they still are not perfect. You have to use your head and do your part in making sure you pick the best one possible because the will fix anything before you leave but once you leave it's your baby.
I bought an 05 columbia with a 14l egr detroit. it had 460k on it and now has 660k. in that time I have a turbo VPOD go out that cost $700, radiator which cost about $900 with fluid and new hoses, and AC compressor which actually was an electrical issue and that was $800.
that's the extent of my repairs in 18 monthsMagnum1 Thanks this. -
Magnum1 sorry for hijacking your thread.Needed to ask MedicineMan about Lone mountain. The guys at LMTL have some 2oo7 Century's with the detroits coming in . Might be the same setup as yours., my only problem is the price 3800 down 1350 42 months. What you think about that??

Hey, we are all here to get or give advice. I'm ok with it. -
I wouldn't buy an 07. it was the first year for the DPF systems and the 07's are netorious for problems. the guy I'm leased to has one and I know for a fact he spent $26k on it last year in repairs. the truck no sooner gets out of the shop and he's broke down again. And my experience with the 07's I had in the oil patch were the same. and every time it's a ride on the hook.
they fixed the problems somewhat in later years. I also was thinking of mabey getting one of those trucks with the apu but I got over it after the boss man told me about his -
I hear you on the DPF system being a PITA. My dually has a cummins with the EGR DPF system. Anyway when the year 2014 rolls around are all trucks need to be retrofitted with a DPF??
-
worry about what we have now.
-
I have 2007 14 liter Detroit without a DPF.
I would avoid a DPF system. But, just because it is a 2007 does not mean it has one.
In my opinion a Detroit is a good motor. Good fuel mileage. I get 6mpg in the winter months and 7mpg in the summer months. -
I also have an '07 without DPF.
-
then you have the early 07's with the leftover 06 motors. if you remember there was a big push to get all the pre emission motors that year
