Another long day. Managed a little over 600 miles but very tedious miles through snow, icy roads, etc. Was able to drop my trailer at the Volkswagen place and headed on down the turnpike toward my pickup tomorrow. Picking up some insulation tomorrow that doesn't deliver until Monday morning at a couple of Lowes in Virginia so expecting a fairly easy day, well as easy as dealing with Baltimore and DC can be I suppose. Delivering in Richmond, VA so I may call up an old friend that runs a swanky restaurant there for some free vittles

i went through the snow on I80 yesterday, wasnt fun in indiana. i think i mostly stayed ahead of it though, once past it i was full bore and got almost 600 yesterday and today. now i dont unload till monday, didnt have to push it but this way i have a fresh 70 when i unload. beats babying my hours after that
edit: so odd knowing i have tomorrow off, nothing to do really. im used to getting up at 3 and getting on the road for a 11 to 14 hour day. going to be a nice change of pace for a day, have my books and laptop, probably still will go crazy lol, but nice to get the fresh 70 -

Heading back out in the morning, hoping for some good weather where ever I might be going. Cooking up one of my favorite foods this afternoon (stewed goat) with a couple of cervezas mexicanas to wash it down with
Planning on staying out until Feb 8th which will put me close to 100K miles driven since May 13th. Spent the morning at Duke getting copies of some of my publications to send in for a position in Hays, Kansas. I think that will be the last university position that I will apply for at least in the near future. -
Well got a couple of decent loads lined out to start the trip. Both with flexible p/u and drop times with the exception of a 2000 appt drop on the second one that should pose no problems particularly with it being on MLK holiday and still being able to get rid of it. So 1425 miles for the first 3 days out is not too shabby to begin with and it is all in good weather locales for a bonus
