The former great Gunny Hartman has fallen on his sword and apologized for the comments he said during that very video. The gunny has shown that even the finest example of Americana has fallen to this yellow-bellied, #### faced concept we call political correctness. Whenever did you think you would see an American APOLOGIZE for POSSIBLY offending someone? He spoke his mind, and for that men have bled and died to protect. Shame on you Gunny, you should have known better then to defile those brave Americans who gave their lives to protect the freedom to say what you like without reprisal. We all understand making money, but not at the expense of your principles.

And I'm sorry the Gunny is sorry. I'll wager his media handlers had a lot to do with the apology. He was probably told if he didn't apologize, he would be cut off from any further appearances. Just another instance of if you don't agree with the Left, you get steamrolled.

My only question to Gunny Ermey is why would a man of character and strength allow himself to be pushed around like that? Isn't one of the things you protected as a Marine...Free Speech? What has happened to your principles?

It's a sad day in the US when a Marine like this man can be pushed around by an extremist Leftist Hollywood.

 

Maybe he should have saved for the academy awards?
