That would be great if it works out. My hubby has it too as a result of a shoot out while in Law Enforcement.

My ears been ringing for about four months straight. It gets annoying at times. Especially trying to sleep. I thought it was because I take 81mg aspirin a day. I quit taking aspirin and the ringing stopped briefly. Then it started back up again. I think mine is caused by diabetes damage to the nerves. maybe my loud music days are catching up with me? They're ringing right now. Arrgggggh!
How do they know the rat has ringing ears? They ask him? lolbulldozerbert Thanks this. -
mine do it at night--this year not too bad--last winter was almost like a jet plane taking off---had to have the tv so loud it was driving my wife up the wall
at home i always get sick--on the road--doesnt seem to happen -
I've had tinnitus for many years. It was super annoying for a long time but I learned to just live with it. A medication to relieve it would be nice but the side effects of most medicines are worse than the affliction..IMO.
bullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
I usually thought that tinnitus goes away once you've been away from the source for awhile, but I guess that it takes time for that ringing sensation to disappear. I've been away from the noisy environment of running diesel engines for three weeks and I still experience ringing of the ears. It would be nice if there was a remedy available.

Had it for over 30 years. The real thing don't go away. Sometimes it just not as bad as others.
One question about the study. How did the rats tell the scientist their ears were better? Sign language? -

Good point Stranger ! :
Had it myself for about the same length of time +or - and there is no cure .
Most often It's Caused by a infection the "Erodes away part of the nerve that carries the sound you hear >>> onward >>
Most people well feel some relief from rest ! >> like after sleeping.

Just 81.5? I wish, I take a full 325 a day, every day. The low dose does not lower the clotting enough it seems. -
I've had this from birth.. would be Excelent to hear silence.........
