Just curious if anyone knows about Witte Bros. Trucking Company located in Troy Missouri. Thinking about attending their school and driving for them. By the way I will be new to the trucking business.

I have an offer to start with this company. They are an LTL reefer company that hauls most of lower 48. They pay on the lite side when you get solo at .24 cents a mile, after 3 months it is .26, and after 6 months it is .30 and it goes to .32 after first year. They have all kinds of other adds and say the total pay is like 12 cents more per mile. Avg pay is suppossed to be 37k to 45k first year. Conditions You leave on sun PM normally have deliverys through wed and start picking up on the way back and get in on fridays. They say 36 hrs to 48 home. they average 2100 miles a week. I am a newbe. There training is 6 weeks mon thru fri 7 to 1pm. Get this there are two instructers and 4 students. You pay 500 up front and the total cost is 2500, which is prorated and you never pay as long as you are there a year. After the 6 weeks you are assigned a trainer and spend 4-6 weeks with him at 75 per day, training time depends on ability. They send you to all areas incliding west coast where you are outlonger. All equipment is 2005 and newer Volvos 670s, with fridg. This sound better to me than schneide which offered me a dedicated Walmart account out of olney. WHAT DO YOU THINK??? Please respond THanks

I am a Witte driver and can tell you that everything they have told you is correct. As far as the West coast runs go, they wont send you there if you dont want to go there. Our drivers are home everyweekend otherwise and normally at least 34 hours. We have 10 trainers and the try to select a trainer for each student that they will get along the best with. If you have any other questions, please post them and I will try to get back on here to check for them.

Witte Sucks! They claim to run you in all 48, but you will find these guys will stick you with a regioin, like the east coast and you can't get away from it. or what ever if you work for these guys. It is regional runs, get it! You will not see anything except a section of teh country and will not go on to other regions, until an opening comes up....Witte Sucks!
