I have read all the CRE posts here, and I will say Trainings going to suck pretty much everywhere you go, but you gotta start somewhere and you are going to have to crawl before you can walk. And to all of you, don't cry on where you have to deliver its part of the job, not every hole can have a football field in front of it.

most of what is posted about CRE is pretty true, THEY SUCK. Not so bad if you are a company driver.

If you are going to lease from them, the whole West Valley office smiles, but not you.
You are going to pay for everything, and I mean everything. Just like a true owner operator, but you will not get paid like a true owner operator.

CRE will charge you $12 for the comchek you used to pay for you PM.
$5 a week to administrate your insurance.
another $12 a week to get your settlement.
Multiply that by some 1500 lease ops and drivers are taking care of a whole lot of CRE internal payroll.
    That's just the short list.
Oh I forgot they make over $100 per week off of you leasing the truck.

The real fun starts when you done with the lease and you done with them.
I turned in my truck with new wipers that wher put on 2 days before I turned it in. New tires 2 weeks earlier. air filters 1 month prior to turn in.
I left it without trash inside.
CRE won't let you stay while they inspect the truck, they escort you off the property as quick as possible if you are not going to work for them anymore.
Now in about 45 days you final bill comes. Keep in mind that when you lease the truck you do a detailed inspection of everything that is wrong with the truck right down to the pinstripes being slightly faded.
My bill came to $10,000. they charged me for everything that was listed on my original inspection report and then some. They charged me $1500 for new tires, they billed me for new wipers. They charged me for new floor mats which the truck never had. They even charged me $634 a week for the 5 weeks they had it at CRE before they turned it in to Frieghtliner. They even charged me for the FM radio ant. they broke and was documented that they broke.
Super Long Story short, I hired a laywer and the story changed dramatically and really quick.
Just goes to show you its there policy to try to rip off everbody because they know they hire a lot of individuals with little education and even less money, so alot won't do anything but work out a deal for the rest of thier lives, or file bancrupcy, the odds are with them so they try it everytime.:smt030
I'm and owner operator now and my truck payment on and 06 Pete is lower than my england lease was,and will will actually own the truck when I'm donewitht he bank. My insurance is less than it was at CRE. Life is much better now.

well good for you to escape the torture of CRE. i'll look at it this way, all that money they "tried" to charge you, would have made a nicer truck for some other newbie o/o. and so on, and so forth.

yep, lease deals.......you pay the truck off for them, and if you fail, they get someone else to make those truck payments. a nice way to guarantee the bank of payments each month.......huh.....??

I'm sorry, but YOU HAVE TO BE STUPID to enter any Lease deals!!! What do you make, but extra headaches and maybe a few more dollars. But to me it's not worth the B.S. involved.

My hubby just turned his truck in last month and I have not heard anything about new leasing program unless it has happened in the last month. They say my hubby owes them $1600.00 well it was $2400 but he had $800 in his maintance account. Mind you he had his truck for about 2 months and had a maintance on it about a month before turning it in. I don't see how in the world the truck needed $2400 worth of repairs. We may just need to get an attorney to work this out for us. This company has really done a number to our finances!!!!!!! The reason people lease with CREngland is cause they make it sound so good. That is what they upsale there. You don't have to do it but they want you to so you can make the company money. You won't make anything!!!!! Most weeks my hubby owed the company money. HOW IN THE HECK IS THAT RIGHT??? Cause he was not getting the miles and not making anything.

it's quit simple as to how u owe money....truck payment ins payment fuel it goes on and on. but that's all part of having Ur own business.
just because u lease from horizon u think that if u don't run the miles they will forget about Ur truck payment ? try telling Ur mortgage company u didn't make enough money last month so u cant make Ur payment. ull owe double the next month. at least they don't charge u a late fee if Ur negative on Ur statement.
o dang I said that out loud didn't I ? I hope they don't get any ideas. roflmao

I'm going to start my orientation with CR England, May 11, 2009. Anyone have any ideas or advice. How much money I'm expenting after my training a week and if is true above what they say.
