All right, remind me why the grass isn't any greener. I was an owner op from 2000 - 2008 and my dumb #### is thinking of buying back in. Tell me about your bad repair stories,Tax problems, etc. So I stay where I am at.

    Strider Thanks this.

You want to buy my truck so I can get out and become a DOT officer, I hear they are going to be hiring a bunch for the new super coops their building in Oklahoma and want to man them 24/7.

You ain't going to believe this #### but break downs still happen, shops are charging $100 an hour or more, you cry every time you go to the fuel pumps, economy still sucks, Obama is still president, a lot of drivers still haul for nothing and don't know how to operate a business, the big boys keep getting bigger, brokers are still greedy and the IRS man is still their on April the 15th with his hands out. Not much of a love story anymore.

    how about a short poem

    Roses are red
    Violets are purple
    Were all broke
    and just driving in circles.

That's kind of the stuff I'm trying to remind myself about. After a few years of not dealing with the day to day BS of owning your own truck, you start to gloss over all the bad, and just remember the good.

You got to have a love for it, I guess that is why I am still doing it. I just don't think I love it us much as I did twenty years ago when I got behind the wheel of a cabover, I was grinning ear to ear. Know I get in my Peterbilt and just sit their and think to myself and say "Awwwww #### here we go again another week of BS. :biggrin_2559:
