Rumer has it that she was on her phone but I can't verify it.

There was also another death today on ND highway 281 near Carrington ND. Two Hoffman trucks pulling our live bottom potatoe wagons were running together. The first truck hit a small drift ont he road causing visibility issues. At the same time he met a car, he warned the following truck about the car and the driver backed out of it some more, As the car came out of the snow it was in the other drivers lane and hit him head on. The guy driving the car died and the truck driver got beat up a bit in the crash and had to go to the hospital. Word from the first driver was that the 18 yearold in the car was "moving" or "flying low".

Just before christmas, two kids were killed in a wreck just west of GrandForks ND. A truck pulling two UPS trailers, blew a red light and slammed into the back of the van containing the two kids.

Happened about 2 miles south of New Rockford. I heard the fire whistle go off, and drove up on the scene right after the fire department arrived. All i could see was that it was a car and one of Hoffman's potato trucks. It looked bad but i had held hope nobody was killed. Heard on the news later it involved a fatality. The man that was killed belonged to our church up in Sheyenne. Rat, I'm guessing they pull Altendorf's belt trailers?

Yeap. driver of the car had no liscense or insurance. I am hearing reports that the car was on the wrong side of the road and that the truck was on the wrong side.

He was pulling an Altendorf trailer. I drive for Altendorf myself.

I haven't heard anything beyond what I read in the papers. The GF Herald said charges were pending against the truck driver. For what they didn't say.

Charges are pending against a Jamestown, N.D., truck driver in a head-on collision Sunday north of Carrington, N.D., that killed a Devils Lake man, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

Anthony Fire Moon Deegan, 28, Devils Lake, died in crash with a semi-truck driven by Charles Seigman, 30, of Jamestown.
Seigman was northbound on U.S. 281 about noon Sunday, following another truck that hit a snow bank, sending up "snow fog" that obstructed visibility for Seigman, the Patrol said. His 2007 Peterbilt crossed the center line and hit head-on a southbound 1989 Chevy Celebrity driven by Deegan.
Both vehicles ended up in the west ditch.
Neither driver was wearing a seat belt.
The road conditions were described by the Patrol as normal, but a southeast wind of 22 mph was blowing snow and the temperature was only 2 degrees.
