Thanks TruckInShadow. I will complete orentation with JBS this week, I agree with you on each and every item you have addressed. If i am correct JBS as a carrier is only about 4-5 years new. Also we will have a new terminal next month.

Keep us updated Ricky and let us know if you get a new truck or slightly used... Glad to see people are adding to this thread on a daily basis and would love to hear from more current Jbs drivers....anybody know if they use routing software? Also what size fuel tanks on those 387 petes?drove by their yard in Greeley a few weeks ago and counted 45 to 50 trucks parked there but as someone pointed out in an earlier post anytime you have a 700 hundred plus truck fleet you will always have 5 To 10 percent sitting..and yes that new yard and terminal is coming together although it's not new construction. It's more of a remodel but looks like it should be nice!! Anybody know if this next batch of new trucks are gonna be 387 petes as well??? Keep the info coming and once again good luck to all who join Jbs!! Sounds like fleet will have 1100 to 1200 trucks by end of year...

They dont route you it thats what you asking, you really have to know how to read a map and figure out the shortest way to get there.. Sometimes mapquest helps too not always though as it will tell you to go ways you cant but it helps.. 140 gallons on one side so total of 280.

I agree the new terminal is coming along even though I heard it was to be finished last summer lol.... No clue on what the new trucks are going to be though so that I can not answer..

Noticed today on the e-mail that I received from recruitting that along with the Petes, they also have 09 Kenworths. What kind. What are they saying in orientation now as far as the miles. I know that I will be talking to recruitting later today, but I prefer to get my info at times from actual drivers.

The Kenwoths are t660. Thanks shadow for info. Prefer to route myself as well so that's good news. Does Jbs carry iron?

So just what is going on? My husband has been talking to Jason and has not heard anything about a change in the pay scale or anything else. We really need to change companies soon. Marten is killing us. He just sat from Friday until this morning(Tuesday). Payroll runs from Tuesday to Tuesday. This is not unusual either. We were seriously considering JBS and have had a hard time getting in touch with Jason in the last 2 weeks. Have they changed the payscale and the way they calculate mileage? Did they do away with bonuses or what ? Doc said something about loosing $7600 due to something. What was he referring to?

I talked to Jason today, and had to turn the job down. Due to extenuating circumstances trying to bring my wife here from China after the interview later this year, they where not able to work with me requiring necessary time off. They would give me one week, but would not allow me a 3 week leave of absense. I was looking forward to going there. Well, keep looking I guess.

Another thing that I could not understand, most if not all of the trucks in Green Bay have APU because of the weather, but not Greely, just some, but the new ones that are comming in are being wired for APU

blsqueak, why did you find it to be cold that he wouldn't allow you three weeks off? I honestly see no problem with this. The only way that the company can make money is if they keep those tires turning. Why would they just let a truck sit there for three weeks with no income on it?

    rickway65 Thanks this.
