They say you stay locked in on a rate of 4500 one way..and IF it ever drops below that, they still pay u 4500 which is only 9000 in two weeks and that is how long it takes for coast to coast (Maine - California).
They have it worked out to benefit them. Just a year ago we got 3800 +fuel surcharge of 1300 from the vineyards In California back to St.L. But that was only 3 times a month.

It's no surprise somebody is lying to you about how much your hauls pay. There is nothing in trucking that keeps brokers honest, save for your own freedom to walk away from those that screw you over on compensation. And considering few drivers/companies confirm how much loads do pay, most brokers will indeed lie to you. There's nothing stopping them but fear of divine retribution or the fires of hell.

All one has to do is follow a broker home after work and see what kind of house he lives in. That'll tell the tale if he's an honest broker or a liar whose mansion, BMW, and swimming pool were paid for with YOUR sweat. I've heard of brokers who will take 500 bucks right off the top, charge a commission to boot, and do it all in two phone calls with five minutes of labor. And yeah...those guys live in big ol' mansions and drive nice Benzes. If I MYSELF were running their loads, their pickings would be honest, as I'd always check on their #####. Their house, car, and trimmings would reflect their skill levels. A broker living in a mansion is as warped as a pizza delivery guy living in a mansion.

i think if you haven't applied or been in contact with the company about a job you don't have any say in what does or doesn't go on at that company. you post alot of crap on different companies forums. looks like you need a friend or something better to do with your time

You brought to life a 3 year old dead thread when there is a younger one with more posts and the same information! Sounds like another cheerleader from the office! LOL but what do you expect! Sounds like another fun thread to watch like that CRE cheerleader that dissapeared about a week ago!

    Let the games begin!

He thinks because we're JUST truck drivers we couldn't figure this out! Ya gotta love the "college boy" mentality of office cows that run in herds!

No see you got it all wrong I. Don't work for hurricane nor will I after talking with their recuriter. Their add says CHOOSE from '07 or '09 pete's or volvos. Then jason tells me "doubt" you will get a volvo probable be '07 pete" so why does the add say choose? Then its 95 dollar a day lease. Well that is it doesn't matter if truck is new or used. Do you go buy a used car and pay same price as new? No! So why do I pay same for high milage 07 as guy getting in 09. Then jason tells me " well if we have 3 coming to orientation we have three trucks for ya'll to decide on" so again do you go to a car lot and the dealer say hey there are three of you so here's three cars, decide who gets what. No you don't. Every question I asked Jason he danced around from pay to the truck lease. Two defferent stories between him and their add. So again No I am not a hurricane employee - am a driver with 18 years experience. Me and my brother were thinking of trying their program but have now decided not to. My earlier post was directed at the "tipster guy" who has commented on every #### company on here. He either has a dac as thick as a dictionary or nothing better to do then talk about stuff from companies he doesn't know.

Let's do a little math here just for fun, $95.00/ day X 365 Days= 34,675/12 months $2889.58/ month truck payment no way in he** on a used worn out piece of junk LOL. Have at it boys go make the BIG $$$
