Look forward to meeting ya Sparky, Gunrunner the intersection is on the way back to the school and I will tell you that I was cussing all the way back too. The course takes you West on Fisher, North on Hillard-Rome, East on Trabue, North on Wilson, West on Roberts, South on 270, East on 70, Exit onto Wilson, and then back to Fisher and the curb that I warned you about just remember to take it wide. While it may cost you a point, you are still better off than hitting the sucker.

 

Ya still around Jim? Havent seen any updates. I apologize if we have taken over your thread. I personally miss the weekly updates tho.

 

just listen to what the instructor says to do. ie: if they have said on numerous occaisions to go 10 miles below the posted speed limit in the curve. . . DUH. . .go 10 miles below the posted speed limit. Lemmie see if i can remember a few reasons why students failed the driving test: running over signs, running over curbs, running stoplights, hitting the front gate, dragging the trailer tires across the parking lot as the brakes release. common sense stuff nothing to fear.

 

he eval'd out monday went to gary, in to get his truck (a 2010 cascadia) picked up a coil and headed home for the weekend. He dels in Ga monday.

 

Quick advice: Eyes and ears open mouth shut other than to ask relevant questions. Show interest and excitement in learning the way they want things done..."the Maverick way". KEEP OFF THE GRASS. you'll do fine. welcome to the team

 

U are correct sir. no wifi at the rock. you will be busy with homework ie trip planning, map reading, securement diagrams, etc. Of course bring it if you wish just dont WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA like some have done about no wifi on the yard. lol

 

Sorry to hear that things didn't work out for you at Maverick During the winter months do slow down a bit everywhere so for those of you looking to get into trucking...plan ahead and put some away to get you through the slow period til it picks up.

Also glad to hear you got on with a "real company", lol and that they get you home every coupla weeks. Maverick isnt for everyone but i'd appreciate it if you and others wouldn't insult them by not considering them a real company. I dont mean any offense by my last statement just get tired of drivers not considering a company that has over 1000 drivers a real company only after it didn't work out for them.

I apologize and commented to soon. the fluctuating miles per week is quite common. 1800, 1900, 3050, 2050, 2665 my last few weeks. The monday drop milage pretty much sets the tone for the week. Once again i apologize for not reading forward
