Got a 379 today prolly the oldest in the fleet can't help to say its seen better days

 

Feelin' ya Giants... we had brand new tractors in the yard and the joke was if you had more than 90 days w/co. you couldn't get 1...hell, I somehow always manged to get the poc w/600k on her...lol!!

 

That's good you got old truck. It will be traded in sooner. New trucks will be rolling in soon.

 

I ended up saying no to that truck, I borrowed another guys truck am gettin ready to load in indiantown,fla then go drop it at the yard and head for the motel, the team drivers trucks are rollling in early this week one was already on the yard, I'm gonna wait till monday and hopefully. End up with a better truck, the 379 bumper was bent driver side step bent up fuel tank dinged up, started it up check engine light n coolent light was on had zero oil in it and the raditor cap was gone.

Loaded in indiantown took a few hrs, dropped it on the yard and seen another guy from orentation, asked him what was goin said he was gettin a newer 386, I was happy for him but fuming on the inside he went to check on the truck it was full of stuff like the other guy was on hometime so he has to wait till morning to find out what's going on. We both came to the the motel I'm here till monday he's going back tomm, I'm gonna relax and hopefully get a "decent" truck monday overalll the company seems good nice and laid back I like it but would like that much morre with a truck I coulda stayed at home and extra week

 

Yea. I called them last week and found out they pay only .32/mile, don't pay for orientation, don't pay for washout, etc. so I said thanks but no thanks. If I'm going OTR then it's got to make sense financially. That's just me though. If more drivers held out for higher wages then they'd have no choice but to raise it but there just are too many willing to work for low pay.

To each their own.
