We drive for US Xpress, I suspect you are going to have a heck of a time finding a company that will hire you out of Montrose. US Xpress required less than 60 miles I believe, You might want to look into hauling in the oil fields.
I didn't get the job because of lack of experience

Good advise for him. The pay is a LOT better than OTR.

you get 1 day off for every 6 on the road. I get between 3000 and 4300 miles a week.
American Truckerbonbonsron Thanks this. -
I am not upset at W/S at all. They have the right to hire whomever they want and it is pretty obvious to anyone who has done any research they are a good company. I would have loved a job with them but we are happy with where we landed too.kenl3417 Thanks this.

Even though I've left the company, I still think it's a good place to work. Glad to know there is freight back east, because they laid off 3 local drivers here in SFS in addition to me leaving. I know they must still be hiring somewhere as I just called my recruiter today to let her know I'm sending a friend her way that's fed up with what they call "training" with Werner....I'm sure she would have told me that they weren't hiring.
bonbonsron Thanks this.
