sadly no, prices are still ridiculous for everything here.

I can go to an average US convenience store, buy a bag of chips, 1 litre mountain dew and a pack of smokes, hand over a ten and get a couple bucks back. In canada your handing over a 20 and digging for change still.

 

I highly doubt that even a single lottery winner wouldn't be stupid enough to shell out that much cash for a Volvo. Kinda makes you wonder what the value of the truck depreciates to once it's driven off the lot...

 

I figure that's worth 32 times what my old shaker is worth. I could buy a whole fleet! LOL

Seriously, that much money ought to at least get you one of those 120" sleepers with a kitchenette.

Maybe they just figured the cost of the DPF and EGR problems for the first few months into the new price. That way, WHEN (not if) they start eff'ing up, you can just roll up on the scene at the dealer of your choosing anywhere in the country a d they'll know you've already paid!

 

That sucks big time......

The prices listed in the truck paper are probably MSRP or the "starting price."

After you tell them to go bleep themselves they might come down to something like the price on this: http://www.transadvantage.com/tai/specsheet?ID=2593241&page=1 which still may be a little high.

TEC is the only Volvo dealer in California and up to Portland. So if you're in that area and looking at a Volvo, guess who you have to talk to.

I'm pretty sure the newer Volvo engines(with SCR) no longer have EGR valves.

 

And I think thats why the thread starter of this post titled it "HOLY CRAP!!! Is Volvo Trucks on drugs???"

 

IF one is a lottery winner, why would he need to buy a truck ? Any truck?
