Orientation is Monday to Thursday. My group actually finished Wednesday but it depends on the size of the group. Monday is ergonomics test, drive test, and dot physical. Tuesday is safety videos, human resources, and payroll presentations. Wednesday is e logs, Qualcomm training, badging, and uniforms. Thursday is comdata cards and taking care of loose ends / meeting trainer. Leave with trainer on Friday for however long you require training.

why do you have to take a road test on monday, if you have to go out with a trainer, looks like you would take the road test once you are done training???

You would take a road test to make sure that you can at least drive, before they will even actually hire you, and make sure that you can at least drive and shift and get around corners.

I don't see where your comment is coming from. Rickydickydo is just seeking information from those who have been there. Why the negative comment? I would suggest you re-visit the post and find a less negative way to express yourself!

p.s. Good luck and do stay safe!

I know you got to take a road test before you go out solo but I got on with a company one time and I didnt take the road test till after I was done with the trainer. Thought that was the point of going out with a trainer. If you pass a road test with them, then there is no need to go out with a trainer.

So what are JBS trucks governed at? I have been checking them out for a while and was interested in signing on with them, but I also do not want to be crawling down the highway at 55.

    They are governed at 65mph.

However there are some guys out there in JBS trucks who are still driving around with trucks that aren't turned down yet because they either dodge the terminals or just haven't been caught yet. Those guys get to putter around at 70mph and higher covering alot more miles in a day, week, month, year.

65 is not to bad, The last company I was at was governed at 65. I just got one of those faster truck modules and everything was ok for me there, that is until the operation was handed down to the owners so then things went to crap. Thank you DrBeer for the reply.
