yep, I have TN, doubles & tank.
I want X, but I fear I will not use it often enough to make the expenses & other regs worth it. -
If you ever want to go local and haul fuel, you'll need the X.
That's exactly why I got it but not having any luck so I'm probably going back OTR for a while. I'll know for sure next week. Got 1 solid offer today after safety approved me. Kind of waiting on another from a 2nd company before I decide. -
I probably wouldnt do that, its more for Division 9 RCRA, non-RCRA, CalHaz & nonhaz that we do, & are trying to do more of. Perhaps down the road.

I never heard of a site for finger prints ! I went to my local dmv to pay and get finger printed, but u are just applying for hazmat.
-
I'm almost positive that they took my prints right there at the dmv when I applied for my hazmat.
-
I know they did, u can't go on a website and get finger printed for anything official. I hope nobody did or you just lost money.
-
thanks guys, I pay the TSA site for a criminal background check while I go to a local office for my fingerprints done there, once cleared 4 weeks later, I bring that letter to the dmv for the endorsement test.

Good to hear !!!

Homeland Security, via the TSA took over the security threat assessment for Hazmat in early 2005. You take the written test at the DMV, you log onto a TSA website https://hazprints.tsa.dhs.gov/Public/ to enroll, enter your information and pay for your fingerprinting and you then go to an approved facility (usually a contractor) to get your fingerprints taken. As stated above, when you receive the letter with your approval from the TSA you can then go to your local DMV and get you new CDL with the Hazmat endorsement. TSA is taking about two weeks right now. You do not have to take the letter to the DMV, if they have not received your clearance directly from the TSA, they are not going to trust your letter.
