Anyone else SICK of this winter??

Between freezing rain and road salt spray I've gone through about 5 gallons of windshield wiper fluid in 4 weeks. I'm glad I'm heading south right now!

 

I quit my job a few weeks ago. Yeah hanging out at home not driving through all that crap sitting here having a beer.

Kind of done something like that. Flew up to Yellowknife to work on/fix a truck in -40 and then drive it home in the states. That was an experience, first and only time I drove a loaded truck over ice with no pavement under it. That same year I went and found a place to work on a truck that had 128 degree temps. Don't know which extreme I like better.

 

I haven't really run in the snow much this winter...I've been pretty much running in AZ, NM, TX, CA, Southern NV, this winter...I have a brand new set of chains that I hung on the truck that haven't been on the ground yet this winter.


I'm OK with that.

 

The Western Star has a set on since Dec 12th and they won't be coming off for a couple weeks yet, perhaps we can trade this spring

 

Gonna be 50 here tomorrow. I'm wearing shorts and flip flops.

 

I'm finding this winter difficult. Just when you expect solid ice that you can at least drive on you get seas of mud. I'm thinking of burger flipping; anything to get out of this crap.

It even RAINED today. I sat and watched while my trailer slid into the ditch while the truck was standing still. To hell with this.

 

Personally, I think it is fun...
I hate the cold but snow don't bother me. My wife says; "they kind of go hand in hand".. yeah, yeah, but it can be descent out and still have snow. I grew up in MI so I know snow...LOL

 

Happy birthday. Oh, you meant temperature! There's me thinking you had treated yourself to a trip to Hawaii.

 

Other than the fact that I have had to throw eight complete shovelfuls of snowthus far this winter, yeah...I'm pretty darned tired of being cold...I'm gonna move somewhere between here and alligators, I tell you what!
