Not so happy meal deal for some owner-ops

Unfortunately, no matter how politicians muse about the truckers meal situation in Canada, they are not motivated to make a change. Why Not? Well, to start with, 90% of the politicians--local, provincial and federal are thieving crooks who are only out to feather their nests, and to get cushy positions for their buddies. There has not been an honest Prime Minister is Canada for a couple hundred years. The PM that cut the truckers meal allowance was Paul Martin--who is a multi-millionaire steamship line owner, who registered his ships outside Canada, so he could avoid paying Cdn. taxes on profits. He had his company get rid of all the Canadian, US, and Australian staff on his boats, and hired foreign, mostly poorly educated laborers who work for a minimal wage. Our current PM, Mr. Harper, while not a multi-millionaire, has just given cushy positions to his cronies, to thank them for support during his campaign. If you are a Harper croney, you can have the brain of a duck, and still find yourself in a well-paid position at the head of an organization. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the jerks that are part of our current federal government to follow through on any promises made to truckers regarding the meal allowance.
