Maybe he got his CDL and joined the outlaw ranks!!!
You know they say the best detective would make a great crook ergo the best Diesel Bear would probably make a #### good trucker!!! -
Ya DB would make out like a bandit! He could flash his badge at the scale house and tell'um he was "under cover"
truckerdave1970 and dog-c Thank this. -
LOL! A few years ago I worked with an Ex-State Trooper that was a true master of the log book(if your know what I mean). It was truely classic.
We often asked him what it felt like comming over to the dark side(ie Trooper becoming a trucker)
He said, "If I knew what I know now, being in a truck... When I was a Trooper, I would have been a lot easier on truck drivers".
note: When he was a trooper, he was assigned to commercial vehicle enforcement. -
Many years ago I was leased to a carrier in northern California, We had a former CHP officer that bought a truck come and lease on.
The guy came in and started telling us that with all of his knowledge he was gonna be able to show us all how to make money without violating any laws!
We were all makin' money already....We just violated the law for the sport of it!
After a few weeks he was a lot quieter than he was at first and wasn't spouting off about "legal" quite as much.
A little while after that I didn't see him around much anymore and I asked the dispatcher in Ukiah "Where's he at?" The dispatcher kind'a chuckled and said..."His truck got repoed because he lost his license and couldn't work for a few months!"
10 speeding ticket in 6 months, A few log book violations and some "fix it" tickets that were "forgotten" about.
We all got a good laugh and then went back to work like we've always done!
That former CHP officer found out the hard way that it ain't all fun and games out here!rocknroll nik Thanks this. -
LOL! The ex-trooper soon became the master of having the perfect day(on the lie, I mean log book). Sheesh, he became the biggest outlaw of all of us. He was a true master of the time match-ups, and totally knew how to cover his ###. It still makes me laugh. -
This one still to this day make me ROTFLMFAO when I think about it. The Company is out of Business and my father is no longer Driving OTR so I think I can tell it that and it happened 15 Years ago to any Statue of Limitations are over I think. HJe Logged Rawlins WY to Des Monies IA in 6 HOURS to match fuel ticketsget this thatlog sheet went thru his Company and then a Federal Log Audit and they DID NOT CATCH IT. They went looks good matches up he fine. Lets do the math shall we 190 plus 455 plus 126 = 755 miles in six hours. They did not catch a 129 MPH AVARAGE. Now how in the HELL did that one slide thru.
