im also trying to find out info on western star outta carson,ca i been wondering bout them for a year now all the drivers i have talked to talk highly of them but im still lost i love running coast to coast but cant seem to find the right company and western star seems like they might be the 1

i used to work for them, load @ their own cold storage in carson & go to new jersey, unload/load go to midwest, unload/load with meat to go to LA area then do it again. jackie will tell u up front that she doesn't care about u, ur family or ur hometime; here is what she said to another guy when i was in the blaine office; LOOK U WORK FOR ME, MY DAD & UNCLE OWN THE BUSINESS & COLD STORAGE. I PUT THE LOADS TOGETHER & DECIDE WHO DOES WHAT. U WILL GO HOME WHEN I SAY U CAN & WILL LEAVE WHEN I TELL U TO. IF U HAVE A FAMILY EMERGENCY I'LL DO MY BEST TO GET U THERE BUT NO PROMISES. I DON'T CARE ABOUT U, UR WIFE, OR UR FAMILY; I WANT UR ### IN MY TRUCK MAKING ME MONEY, THAT'S IT, NOW GET OUT OF HERE. her words to this poor guy, i felt so bad for him but i took it as a hint & left @ first opportunity i had.

 

I talked to a guy who drives for Western star and he said that Jackie is no longer working for them due to health problems. He also told me that although she is a hard woman, she is fair and expects you to do your job without complining. In person she a diferent person. I figure, it's just like any other company, if you are a problem driver, you will be treated like one. I put my app in a few days ago. we will see what happens.
