I just heard from a dm that we can scan our trip packets in at pilots, he didn't have any info on specifics, but brought it up sense I never get routed near a terminal and go weeks without pay.

Does anyone have any info on this or another option?

yeah, using your swift scan sheet, you can scan them at Pilot, Flyin J and Love's. Have been able to do that for about 2 yrs now....or close to it. Any chance i get, i scan at truck stops, since terminal scanners are normally JUNK...and if you DO get a scanner that works, the ###### kiosk dont have any printer paper because the office help is too lazy to take 5 min. out of their day to fill it back up, and maybe clean off the rollers on the scanner with rubbing alcohol.

Maybe if swift didnt spend $10 for each scanner, i might scan more often at terminals and save them money....

This little bit of info would have been great to know from the start.

Do I just have the cashiers help me with this? does it cost money? any specifics I need to know? Pretty lost, would have been great for the mentor to tell me this.

yeah...someone dropped the ball on this one. Orientation should have went over it on day 1. But all you do is walk up to the clerk, have your trips seperated already, no staples, etc....and just say, "i've got some Trans-Flo...". they'll probably ask if you want the receipt stapled after its been scanned. Dont cost you a dime....and 99 x out of 100, they get scanned right. once in a great while PHX will not get a log (but they'll get the BOLs for sure) and you'll have a missing log....but its rare......thats why i normally scan at truck stops....almost always get a receipt.

and if you DO get a missing log, pull out paperwork you scanned, and send in the confirmation code to your DM, then PHX can pull it up again...

dont worry, i'm in Rolla, MO, about 90 min drive from my live unload. I've got a live load 'once i get there' in the morning going to west memphis.....would get me out of the weather...but i've gotta get to STL first.

    no prob.

do what i do....buy yourself a 3-n-1 printer/copier/scanner. (i use it to print off my logs) but more importantly, copy your receipts before you send them in. better yet, if they're a small receipt....my printer blows up the receipt to fit a whole page, then i send THAT in with my trip info thru Trans-Flo....aint no way they can miss a receipt the size of a piece of paper. =)
