3 truck crash. 1 dead. Va.

#### that's harsh....prayers for the fallen...but what the hell they were obviously going too fast for conditions......fog...and then the third driver drove thru the wreckage

 

Fog scares the hell out of me, and I don't mind sayin' it.

Prayers for those involved, especially the family of the deceased.

 

Well, let's see here...it's 4 am and the driver ran off the left side, into oncoming lanes of traffic. I doubt fog was a factor on that part. More likely, distracted or fell asleep. Second driver running into the Freightliner? Yes, fog could have been a factor, but speed probably was, too. Third driver? Same as second driver. However, all would have been hunky-dory if the first driver hadn't crossed the median.

I wish the injured to heal quickly and the family of the deceased to find peace.

But I still hate fog almost as much as my ex detests me!

 

its so very sad to hear one more fallen comrade fog or no fog fatalities are part of this job death is around every corner and road please pray for every trucker and families that have lost one of us...i myself have life insurance God might call me one of these days and my family should be taken care of something to think about peace...DLD

 

Foggy or not. I find it implausible to lay an ounce of blame on the two drivers that were on their own side of the road, regardless of speed.
When somebody crosses over and/or there are large rolls of paper in the road, all bets are off.

 

There are always those who come up with,"I know what happened!" What if he blew tire, broke a tierod, a deer jumped out, a car swerved a..... I saw an accident in the 80s, our co, and they rolled in the median in AZ on I 40. Both drivers died and it looked like the truck had just fallen on its side. The co hauled the tractor to OKC and covered it up with tarps. We went and loked at it and forund a broken tierod and the L front Firestone tire blown out. The whole fleet of 300 trucks had all new Michelin tires within a month. I am glad you guys arent accident investigators.
