Anyone who has responded negatively to my statements do not have the aptitude to understand what I was initially stating, so let's get back on point. My whole point was if the powers to be have their way and they are having their way make no mistake about it. Pretty soon we will all be in slaved all over again, but this time it won't be a skin color won't have anything to do with it. It will be the have's against the have not's. Now, I'm through with the thread.

Back on topic ...
Sites like Facebook are the place now, and entire dictatorships are being toppled.
If the unions are smart, that is the tool they should use now.groovemachine Thanks this. -
You Truck Drivers need to be given that DIGNITY and RESPECT !!! Without you this country would stop and come to a deadend. These Companies need to treat you fairly and professionally, which most of them donnot. Do you realize the Strength in Numbers you would have if you banded together??and stuck by each other??A one day strike would wake up a lot of these companies, It would Hit them in their Pocketbooks!!!!and it would put your message out to the Public.

Funny how the first thing they did in Egypt was shut down the internet and phones.
The unions aren't the driving force in this industry anymore. Unification is the word y'all need to adopt. And "guts" means gambling your paycheck, which, in my humble opinion, shrivels a lot of testicles when the reality hits home.
I stuck my neck out for my ~ahem~ fellow drivers once. They all turned soft and cried like little girls when they realized that they might be hitting the soup line to stand for what is right. I thought some of them were my friends. Blood may be thicker than water, but when it comes to "green" - watch what happens.amscontr and zentrucking Thank this. -
Don't blame Obam for that, you can thank Old Man Bush for creating NAFTA and Clinton signing it.
Now you see the 2 of them running around the world like best buddies.
You can thank BOTH policial parties just the same. If you blame one you better blame the other just the same. They BOTH want your money and maybe you better wake up and smell the coffee and not just drink the Tea.
Now you know how some truckers felt when trucking was deregulated and all of the good paying union trucking jobs went to the likes of J.B Schneiders etc. If you don't think them "orange", "blue", "red", or "white/yellow" trucks will pay their drivers in pesos and have the technology to translate smart highways to non-english drivers then you're a fool.
What do you want to do? Form a union to protect the american trucker? Ha ha ha. You people can't agree on which lugnuts to put on that "orange" truck let alone the time. Speaking of time, the time is now to get off your rear ends and do something for yourselfs instead of crying about what's going to happen because you're willing to let it happen all by yourselves. What part of union don't you people understand? It must be the part you was brainwashed with how unions are bad and just want your dues. Now what part of government don't you understand and that's they just want your taxes to give the rich more tax breaks so they can invest overseas because they don't trust their gambling habits on Wall St. either.
Nope most of you would take a pay cut to drive a 62 mph Orange Peterbilt from Green Bay Wi. and get out in the left lane trying to pass a Blue Kenworth from Omaha Ne. blocking up the left lane from Green Bay to Omaha before you can get the job done.
If you cannot figure it out by now you never will. These companies don't reward you for your experience with pay and security, they offer you a largecar and your choice of colors. A largecar to finance to you as an owner operator and take it back at the end of a lease purchase, a "Prime" example of what's on the horizon for you.
My best advice is get out of trucking or get organized before you have to learn Spanish or Chinese to make your liviing and quit blaming one party or president. So blame yourself for not doing what's right for you and that's making a better life for yourself. I know many have served and died fighting for this country and the people of it, not just the businesses that try to own it and YOU.Last edited: Feb 3, 2011

Amen! I can honestly say when I was an O/O I shut my truck down everytime a so called shutdown/strike was mentioned. I am proud of that fact that I stood up for what I believe in!
What did I see? Some gutless wonders out there running like a bunch of whooped castrated puppies begging the government for protection from the very same people they would stab in the back for pennies on the dollar.
This is what trucking has become over the last 26 years and it is exactly how the government/business wants you to conform. It's their game they hold the cards you gamble and you lose.
Power in the people? We want our country back? Words without meaning. Who has the power? Money. Who took our contry? Money. Who controlls our government? Money. Money money money greedy stinkin' money. Hypocrites use religion for monetary gain and there are plenty of those that say "In God We trust".
Take note of what's going on Egypt and don't think either one of these polical hackjob parties in control will shut your voice up too. Whether it's the Patriot Act or the ACLU.
Maybe it is time for a revolution in trucking, but how many of you have the guts to revolt?claredog1, nd-newbie and zentrucking Thank this. -
All drivers should be paid by the hour. Roads would probably be safer as well since people wouldn't be trying to get extra miles or loads in by a certain time.
zentrucking Thanks this. -
Is there a law for how many drivers you can put in a truck it not we are in trouble
