Reason #1 for schooling and training, when you call "bobtailing" "cab and chassis driving"!
I know a certain someone who is going to regret this. Not to mention he is from Fl and the rest of the country has slipped into an ice age.

The new weather is crazy as heck. Itll be a learning curve for sure. Drove 15 of these back and forth to Trenton new jersey last winter.

Sounds like bobtailing to me. In our transfer dumps without the trailer, we call it bobtailing, even though we can "work" without our trailer. Cab & Chassis = really bobtailing.

There are trucking schools out there that do the testing that allows anyone off the street to test and use the schools truck. School I am in does the test for $100 and if you want to use there truck it's another $200. I for one would still suggest going to school. I am 45 and have a lot of experiance in lfe. But I am not ashamed to admit that I still needed to get the proper training for this job. Good luck on getting hired in.
