I was just gonna add that a better type of mattress......most of them are not very conducive to a good nights sleep...but when you're tired from trucking it up it really don't matter that much at all

I would like brighter lights when I start my day, helps me wake up! And find stuff that I lost.
But dimmer lights when I'm getting ready for bed. Maybe a dimmer switch???

2 things off the top of my head:
#1 - an outside temperature gauge with an LCD reading either on the dash or somewhere on the instrument panel should come standard for all trucks.
#2 - some type of way to secure a television in the sleeper area of your truck. There doesn't seem to be one good way to keep it from shifting if you take a turn. I had an older CRT TV that I had to turn around (screen facing the outside side wall) to keep it from flipping over.

I'm thinking 4 hooks that a cargo net can attach to?

I had an older standard style TV with a sloped backside that the securement strap would not hold in place. It had a spot to put in an external antenna on the top, so I drilled that out and put in a 3/8's inch bolt to extend out of the hole, and the strap held it fine then.

    Not anymore.

Older trucks used to have the air horn on an overhead cord. I'm driving a Volvo with the air horn in the center of the steering wheel.

When I try and use the steering wheel and my clipboard as a desk, the slight amount of pressure will set off the air horn. Not what everyone wants to hear when I am sitting in a truckstop at 1 am updating my logs before I hit the road. If I am anywhere where other drivers may be sleeping, I no longer do it that way for fear that someone who I just woke up may pay me a visit with a tire thumper.

    AMEN!

Not to mention how many times I reached for the cord that was not there, or the times that you press the center of the wheel and the horn doesn't blow right away. I'm guessing due to the thickness of the airbag. But when you are parked and just brush against it, it goes off no problem!

My ProStar is the same way! I have to do some funky balancing act to update my log from the driver's seat.

To make matters worse, on the right side of that button is the jake brake. (there's a little divider between the two buttons). First time I was going downhill and wanted to use the jake brake I ended up blowing the air horn.

    That was embarrassing....

Why Navistar build the prostar sleeper like they did is beyond me. I had a 2000 9400 51" midroof that had twice the storage that made sense. my 09 prostar73" is a big step backwards.

The prostar I have has the best lights of any truck I have ever driven. brighter put in the right spot, also has a dimmer.
