Sent a message to Onroad and turned down to different loads getting out of Texas.
I have a message on the Volvo "light control module malfunction."
My headlights come on, turn signals don't work, high beams don't work, I have no clearance lights on the top of the trailer. My 4 ways are 3 ways as one of the lights on the trailer is dead. It is a 2011 trailer.
Swift's repair shop is closed at the terminal. I am sitting at Grocery Supply company in the staging lot. Was talking to the repair shop and the guy there told me don't answer the door, stay in the truck after nightfall. Lots of lot lizzards, pimps with guns.
The ice storm has hurt Houston. Dallas got 6 inches. I was told by onroad that Swift has shut down the Texas terminals. No one is allowed to leave.
Memphis terminal manager said yesterday was a record for accidents in the Memphis fleet.
Got no TV guess it is time for some movies.

know what i'd do? take a flat edge screw driver, and VERY CAREFULLY go to your 7-way box and wedge the screwdriver into the center of the prongs on each of the 7 connections. but i urge you to do this VERY VERY carefully. They are made of brass and VERY delicate. If you're not careful, you'll snap one of the prongs off and will have to resort to sticking in a paperclip.....sometimes that helps...sometimes not....but worth a shot.

Disconnecting the pigtail at the tractor changed nothing.
Pigtail doesn't affect the headlights. -
was talking about the trailer 7-way...but forgot you mentioned the headlights.....sorry....BOL

Check the fuse panel, You may have a blown fuse. The Volvo's I've driven seem to lump things together kinda strange like. If you shut the truck down, disconnect the ground on the batteries for about 15 minutes it will reset the ECU in many cases. Then see if anything resets.
Injun Thanks this. -

FlyinFinn! I disconnected the battery and let it sit for 15 minutes!
Good to go!

and if you dont know, the fuse panel is under your CB in the dash. and under the lid is a breakdown on what exactly each fuse is for, and their positions....two screws....pull out the cup holder, and they're right there. the lid 'snaps'......FYIBNR32 Thanks this.

Yep knew that a long time ago. I actually have the factory manuals for the truck. -
Lucky bugger! I never had the factory manuals. Although the battery trick I learned from a Volvo tech when I had weird dash issue. Basically it does a memory reset, similar to the same thing in your car. The shear number of electronic gizmos on those trucks is just asking for something to be messed up once in a while.
Glad to hear it is going again. Now you can get out of Dodge and somewhere halfways safe.

It is always comforting when you hear gun shots at night and may have to step over bodies in the morning....
I slept at the pilot in dallas one night. That was a real treat....
