Use the same stuff that Kenworth use in their Quiet Cab package. It's 2 layers of rubber sandwiching a very thin layer of lead. Sounds can't get thru lead.
My Freightliner rewgistered 92 decibels in the cab compared to the same year KW at 76 decibels only. -

That's it, I think. Now. the roof was bare bones from the factory - well, it had a headliner and that's it, now it has what you can see plus the head liner. this project took me 3-4 days to complete, doing it after work.
josh.c Thanks this. -
1st pictures show the original carpeting of the car with some insulation. you will see how it was from the factory on the last pictures. Then, what it looks like after I've removed the factory "junk".Then, the shiny butyl rubber backed with foil which had to be rolled on with the roller, onto the floor, ceiling and little on doors and then, the sound absorbing material after the sound deadening material. I've sprayed doors with the compound that was made for the yacht's engine room - sound deadener, and did not use any foam - these are doors and doors pass water through them. So, no foam in the doors unless rotten smell is your best friend - lol.

Thats a whole lot of work aint it LOL. Took me two solid days to do my Superduty. I still have a whole roll left of b-quiet, one of these days ill get around to putting some in my Volvo...
I am getting an Tripac apu installled next week. I am sure I can put the b-quiet to good use after getting the apu installed. I hear so many of them that rattle to the point of being stupid!
