Go ahead! No broker will release that information as you might release that info to the next broker and they lose the bidding war. I have been in all sides of this industry and for you or anyone to think that written down rules means anything only shows that either you are naive or reality escapes you.
Not a stab at you but just a dose of reality![]()
I want MORE government regulations!

Sure, and....How about a unified truck brand, make, and model for all truckers? The safest and most efficient truck possible. ALL of them exactly alike...for YOUR own good. Oh, and a law forcing truckers to show all their customers exactly what they made on the load? And for good measure, let's add this. We'll let the government decide who pulls what. In other words, if Obama's trucking czar (let's hope he doesn't decide to appoint one) decides that there is too much capacity in the sector of the industry you represent, you'll get a friendly letter from the government "Trucking Business Choices Administrator" telling you that there are more reefers needed. Beginning next week, you'll pull refrigerated loads. Or flatbeds, or whatever.
Hey, let's not stop there!! Government NEVER stops once the proverbial ball gets rolling. It has now been decided by the Congress that truckers should all make the same rate. Sound good? Well, maybe not if you're one who sets his own rate that happens to be higher than the norm.
Sound a little crazy? Of course what I posted is crazy. Just as is all of the out of control bureaucratic messes that are now managed and controlled by big government agencies started "FOR"
wink
people who asked for government to help....just a little bit. Problem is, government doesn't do anything a little bit....or very well. And ESPECIALLY very financially responsibly or efficient.
I can just imagine what it would cost taxpayers in monetary value, and freedoms, just for the bureaucracy to do the few things you're wanting. And they won't stop. They never do. They're already way too #### involved in my business, as far as I'm concerned.
Here's the hard truth, with all due respect to the original poster. If you need the government to help you navigate the business world, maybe you aren't ready to participate as a business owner yet.
The most successful business people I know or have read about never asked for "help" from politicians with big pockets and open hands, hungry for power. They are the ones who are trying to figure out the best way to use the market to their advantage, be the best in their field, and figure out ways to not need help.
Government doesn't do anything for anybody except themselves. NOTHING comes from the government that doesn't have some serious strings attached. -
Paddletrucker, thanks going on that tirade for me, I don't have the fortitude right now.
