TMC is not a bad company, i cant bash them on here. I have been trucking for many years but was new to flatbedding. They gave me a shot, i went to orientation as an exp driver and 2 weeks with a trainer. I stayed with them for 1 1/2 years and for the most it was good. They did cut back in 09 and make it hard to keep the high % I was at 30% then they changed the levels for your oor bonus and fuel and i dropped to 26%. That bothered me but i still dealt with it for a while. My problem was the way the office treats you, they dont treat you like a person, they have stupid rules in place that is good for a driver out of school but sucks for an exp driver. I put my time in and got the exp i needed and moved on. I have no ill feelings towards tmc and would go back if i had to. I left in a proffesional manner so they will rehire me. I left and went to pgt trucking and bought a truck thru them and so far its the best thing i did.

He barley makes his 34 hr restart. Last weekend was actually nice because his fleet manager was on vacation and my husband complained about getting in late on Saturday afternoon and having to leave back out sunday night. This is happening all the time. Last weekend he was home on thursday until monday. This weekend was a bit better, in by 1230 on saturday and left monday at 0530.

so he's home pretty much every weekend tho? i apologize for the way that sounds, i know with a family, that is not much time at all. there are just so many standards of what is considered decent home time in the industry.

What did u hit? You stated you had an accident. If the company feels that a driver is a safety hazard they can get rid of them.

I was parked on the right side pulling into a line of trucks waiting to get fueled. There was this dope that pulled nose first into a spot on the right and realized he couldn't fit and was trying to back out. the line was on the left side of the lot so I was coming to the left from the right and had the small amount of room at the place blocked up till I merged with the flow of many trucks. Right as I was about to get by this guy, another trucker jumps in front of my truck and stops me so this tard can back out. So this guy backs out and nstead of merging with the flow of traffic, he tries to jack knife and go the other way. My trailer was in his way and now his trailer was in my way. I start moving as far the left as possible, coming close to a couple of huge rocks and he starts doing the same. I take my eye off him for a second to watch these rocks and he stops. My rub rail grazes the back corner of his trailer. It was very minor. TMC didn't charged me for it and the police didn't cite anyone. Yet when I hired on to another company, I found out TMC lied and said I hit a parked truck. TMC can go bankrupt for all I care. I hate liars.

I did learn one valuable lesson. Stay far far away from bad drivers doing things that make you go Hmmmmmm.

It's really simple. Do you want hubby home or do you want to be able to pay the bills ? You can't have both .:biggrin_25525:

no not at all. that has to be rough to get used to and as far as im concerned gives u every right to complain. its just different for everybody. that feels like short hometime to u. but i dont have a family so a couple days a month would be plenty for me
