I'm still around, and no I haven't started to drive with you fellas. Been on vacation and off for sick time. Weather been kinda nasty as well. For the most part the driver's have been behaving themselves. I did have one the other day that got stopped the day before I stopped him in another State. Sadly he forgot to log that, matter of fact, he logged himself 3 State's away at the same time of his previous inspection. When I found him he was hauling the mail and at a high rate of fuel consumption. His log was one of the worst I have seen in the recent past. The way he logged it, he was averaging 155 mph. Had alot of trailer and truck issues that were out of service as well. Many of which were noted on an inspection in November and December.
So there is still the few out there doing crazy stuff.
Just some of the stupid things I see

And update us as often as you are able! Wonderful stories! My brother is a traffic officer on solo bike, and is going to be certified DOT soon. I need to be able to give him the good heads up!

Question for you DB.
I have been on vacation and watching the truck tractors to see if they have the reflective tape on the mudflap holder. I see quite a few that do not.
I got a warning about not having such on my old company Sterling a few weeks ago. The LEO said that reg has been in effect since 1996, so likely trucks built before that date never got the reflective tape applied. Mine will get some soon!!!
What is your take on the missing reflective tape on so many tractor mud flap holders?
Just wondering. -

It still amazes me the stuff some driver's are still doing. However, I'm seeing more and more "clean" inspections. The buzz word is CSA. I get flooded with question after question by numerous drivers each day.
rocknroll nik Thanks this. -
nothing wrong with that DB
