The way I read it,
their record looks darn good !!!!!
did I miss something ?? -
sms shows 58.8% on fatigued driving. so a fair record no accidents until this one. Prayers to all involved.

Mississippi roads are rough and bouncy, wonder if that had anything to do with it?
-
Driver was from Mantachie,MS, not far below you in the tri cities.
Sad situation -
I find it a little disturbing to see that the only one to point out that "supposedly" its a sign of our professionalism, has only been driving for 4 years. How professional is he? Its a sad situation and my prayers go out to the brother trucker, teacher and bus driver. I guess Injun knows the whole story inside and out, so tell us all the details will ya...
123456 and Giggles the Original Thank this. -
Who cares how many years I've been driving? You call someone with the subtitle tag name "Mama Swift" "he" and then attack me for my experience level?? How much time in life do you have, Driver? What have you done outside the Transportation industry? You think conducting a truck down the road gives you some special expertise in accident reconstruction?
And for all of you who are jumping my axe....ask yourselves why this driver crossed the center line on a dry, sunny day...without making lame excuses for him about narrow bridges. We cross narrow bridges all the time without running down two school buses. This driver "swerved into the oncoming lane." What the h*** was he doing?!? Look at the picture! That crash happened entirely on the bus side of the highway. I don't care if he was texting his kids, swatting a bee or having some medical issue. We are supposed to be the pros. Part of being a professional is keeping track of your health so you don't wind up in this situation: killing other people because you stuffed too much garbage down your gullet and the most exercise you get is the long walk from that handicapped parking spot to the buffet.
Furthermore, I know the only reason you are jumping down my throat is because the driver's company hasn't been mentioned as Swift, Werner, JB Hunt, etc. You know as well as I do that had this story been written as "Swift Driver Hits Two Buses" your commentary would be completely different. You would be out for blood.
You cannot simply look at someone's stated quantity of experience and claim since yours is more, you are better. There is a huge difference between 4 years of hauling freight around a country of 300 million people and 11 years hauling freight around a country roughly the same land mass with 30 million people in it. Especially since you want to jump in so quickly you miss the obvious. Injun is no "he."123456 Thanks this. -

You are aware that Canadian drivers often drive in the US, right? I only have 1 year experience so I may be over stating things a bit... LOL
