trans am trucking is horrible all around

Yea but these guys don't know that. This company has such a turnover, that they a bringing in fresh bodies, right out of school, with no "real world" experience in trucking. Sooooo, they buy into the lie that is transam and then learn a very expensive and painful lesson.

 

I understand that TA lease program has disappointed many drivers, solo drivers in particular...but, what I don't understand is that why are drivers paying for work that is typically covered under warranty. Our 09 Kenworth t660, has almost 600,000 miles on it. Two days ago, we replaced the cgi gasket, it was covered under warranty..we paid nothing out of pocket. At around 550,000 miles, batteries were replaced...no charge to us. Truck had over 500,000 miles, turbo blew, it was replaced by warranty, no charge to us..those are just a few among the many things that have been covered by warranty...I forgot...tow bills....no out of pocket expense....

John, what type of truck was it? Where did the truck break down? After 4 days of work with TA you had enough money in your maintance account to cover all the repairs? Please share...

One sure fire way to tell if a company is worth leasing with in 60 seconds.

Phone and ask if you can have a copy of the contract to review with your attorney ... all the bad ones will say no, give a dozen BS reasons why they can't, or just hang up.

Dang..... the yard in Olathe is a mess!!! Trks and tlrs everywhere. Wonder if any order will come back one of these days?

 

I have not been to Olathe since 2007. It was nice and orderly then. They had nice showers and bunks for their drivers. Pretty nice driver lounge and plenty of room to park on their property. They were once a good company. Sad to see them degrading. I think I heard that Johnny was not there anymore. The guy who started TA.
