"Headlights on Volvos totally SUCK! Running I84 out of Portland on a rainy night that dark highway should be Websters definition of misery. I always end up running the fog lights on a clear night, which aint cool. They have awesome high beams, but the regular lights are garbage. These days the moon is my best friend..."

Did you know that you can adjust the headlights? Mine had a short range until i adjusted them. Works great now!

the problem of Volvo low beam projectors is reflector silver. I used to take headlamp apart and resilver reflector, it is easy to pull it out from headlamp

Im retracting my statement about my Volvo not having electrical problems. Apparently I have tempted Murphy and he's currently kicking my ### hard!!!

Woke up to find the dashlights on, headlights on, and 4 ways flashing. Ignition off, light switch off. Pressing the clutch pedal, or brake pedal shuts them back off. But, they come right back on after a minute or so! WTH?

And now... ABS Light for my Truck has come on. ABS trailer light is also lit up, on the trailer. Not sure which is the problem, but its the truck light that has lit on the dash.

    What the fork man????

Oh, maybe a little late on the rough running fuel issue. On the Volvo engines (maybe Cummins as well) the fuel lines will swell internally over time. This causes a fuel pressure and feed problem. Get some new fuel line hose and replace them. You have to take them off in order to even tell if they are swelling. The '03 I drove a couple of years ago did it. Learned it from a good tech at a dealership.

Kansas, I feel responsible. Here's hoping it's something simple and cheap.

I think I've got the ultimate electrical gremlin going on right now. The stepper motor that controls the temperature blend door is somehow shorted to the rpm signal and is flapping open and shut in time with the engine rpm.

I seriously thought something was coming apart in the motor when it first started doing it. Freakin Volvo electrical systems...:biggrin_25512:

climat systems for Volvo are made by Behr generally.

Tempeature door motor is the stepper motor controlled with electronic unit. Check wiring first ore better rewire.

remove hedlamp unit, disassembly it (remove glass first), then unscrew projector unit, take it apart, remove condencer lens and send reflector to resilvering workshop.

    They should use aluminium silvering.

When you'll get it back, assemly all the unit
