You ain't kidding. Going I-95 through SC sucked completely not to mention with no weight in the rear the ice was fun.

My run was at least in the summer, so I didn't have to worry about ice. Thank god! That was the draw back about working for a transporter.

The ice was a quick learning curve, Luckily most of my driving will be FL to CA. Driving for the same guy i drove cab and chassis for. Hopefully in 3-4 years i would like to either get into enclosed auto transport or flatbed.

Yep cab chassis is not to be misconstrued for bob-tailing. No fifth-wheel there. Used for everything from straight trucks to firetrucks to garbage, sorry, refuge trucks. no combo endorsement there.

Home is where you hang your hat, i worked for a company in Utah they hired a driver all the way from Springfield MO the only problem of course was giving him home time most runs where from SLC to L.A. or Sacramento so you'll find the same with FL when ever i mentioned FL to the Company they'd go all quiet not much freight out of FL except Oranges and tourists.:biggrin_2551:
