I believe you have some good points there caveman. You certainly are right about any and every job having it's share of problems.
And yes, everyone makes mistakes. But the longer someone does the job, the less mistakes they will make, (unless they are an idiot.)
But I am not advocating that everybody who has problems just give up. What I am saying is everyone needs to take a REALISTIC look at where they are, where they want to be, and how much EFFORT they are willing to put into getting there. They also need to face the financial facts of their own life and see what they need to do.
Lastly, they really need to understand whether or not they have what it takes to do this job. Or as Eastwood said, "A man has to know his limitations." -
Yeah your right don. I guess i dislike factory work so much truck driving seem like play work to me sometimes. I still have a hard time with log books ive had a hard life but im no quiter some people want the easy life truck driving is not it. To me its not a bad job but your right its not for everbody . No matter what the problem is, there's a tool to help. Just ask around here and someone will know what that tool is. And sometimes you'll get an answer from someone who is a tool.....cavemann Thanks this. -

I went to heavy eqipment operating school in Sioux Falls SD, worked construction for 3 years running a front-end loader. Was on track for managment of the lower kind but management anyway. Took a job with the county hwy department, made it about 7 or 8 months and I quit to go haul cattle. It was my first real truckin job. Had a friend that worked at a local place that helped get me the job. Thought about going back to construction a time or two. Especially when you're driving a Combine with a Series60 and a Super 10 transmission. Hauling 100,000 with a 430 Detroit and a Super 10? Really? Yes really. Anyway, I stuck with it and now I can't bring myself to do nothin eles. I was running a tractor for fall tillage. Used to love runnin a tractor. Just can't do it anymore.
