Best of luck to you Bluebonn!
You remind me of some of the ranch hand folk I used to be around/work around in SD. Those folk were tough. Most importantly, they were adaptable. Throw em in the worst place imaginable, they always come out smelling like roses in the end.
Great job!
No food! No water or bathroom and expected to stay in truck

youtube... keb mo... love in vain
I'm not allowed to post links yet. -
Wishing that his next student can handle it doesn't seem like the best thing here. Hopefully more was done.Injun Thanks this. -
Congrats on dealing with things and sticking with it. I'm sure it was an experience that has some value too it beyond "training"....there was surely a lot of life lessons wrapped up in that six weeks that will affect you as a person for years to come. I'll bet in the next six months you will look back on this tiome with dude and realize that you actually did learn more from him than you think....anyways...best of luck!

Keb Mo rocks! Seen him twice in Nashville!
Now I am waiting to hear from Injun what happens to this scumbag.
See if Swift does anything.............. -
"Oh I must have forgotten to replace the oil cap when I added oil"
..and this guy is a mentor?PainNdaNeck Thanks this. -
Well, here's the deal. I passed all the information on to a contact who perused this thread as a lurker and who is in a better position than I am to see that it's dealt with. I have every confidence this parking a student out in front of his house business will not be repeated. Whatever sanctioning is leveled against this "mentor" is out of my hands at this point and I may never hear the final outcome.
Much of this depends on Bluebonn and how he rated the guy, another factor that is out of my control.
This will be similar to that other situation wherein TruckerDragon removed himself from his first mentor's truck. But Dragon wrote a seven-page scathing report about that mess. Bluebonn is a grown man and will make his own decisions on how to rate this guy.
It is normal for a student to get off a mentor's truck chewing his or her teeth about the irritations and personality conflicts. I couldn't stand the sight of my mentor when I vacated his truck. But later, we became friends, although I sort of lost track of him after he went home to Africa.
At any rate, I still have the guy's truck number, too. I will ask a few questions after Bluebonn is settled.Last edited: Feb 11, 2011
Chesty and trucker_101 Thank this. -
i am just hopping that this guy isnt in the Columbus, Ohio terminal because i am so post to get picked up by a mentor tomorrow. i am taking a bus from home to Columbus tomorrow and we are so post to head out that night from what i am told. i am still waiting on world back from swift for my bus ticket confirmation number. well i guess time will tell but i do know if there is something that me and my mentor clash with to the point of something like this i wont put up with it. i will be on the phone quick as crap and tell them to eather find me a different mentor or i will head home. but i hope it dont come down to something like that.
