Maybe it's just me but how does someone possibly get hired on to drive a truck where none are available? Maybe that should be your first red flag. Have none of you read the posts on this site?

I hope all your bills are getting paid while you sit and wait... -
With Swift it takes a few days to get into a truck. They have to put it into the shop and check things out. get it cleaned up and ready for the driver.
-
Does Swift actually clean the trucks up in between drivers? From reading some comments, or watching Youtube, this is very hit-miss. I read here that drivers complain about taking the tractor in for repairs, etc., and when they get it back, those same problems/repairs needed still exist?
-
Other than reeking of cigarette smoke my truck was clean when I got it the other day. I'm going to go over it with a bottle of resolve and some other stuff tomorrow though. Can't comment on repairs yet.

I am still waiting for a start date. Was told that it will be sometime in March. They will let me know 2 weeks prior to, so I am pretty sure that it will not be the 28th. Also exp driver, Columbus terminal

From what I saw when I did orientation in jan they have assigned all the exp drivers in my group tractors already. I ran into one just yesterday and he's been working for a few weeks now. I, still on my mentors truck for another 90.5 hours. We're set for a PTA tomorrow at 08:00 so I don't think I'll still be a cols on mon but you bever know truck is in the shop for a couple issues. As of this am they won't look at it til tomorrow. I only saw one available tractor on our yard yesterday and it might not even be columbus's tractor. Oh well good luck with orientation.
