I live in Bloomington, Indiana and I am looking for a good company to get with. When I say good I want nice tractor, Kenworth, Pete, or a International that has lots of room. Lots of miles and good pay 37cents a mile or above with good benefits. Anybody know of any company's around that offer this all. I have heavy haul experience, reefer, trash hauling, and doubles. I have done 14 route stops in a 48foot reefer trailer with out any problems. I have pulled 140000 lbs out of NC to Ind on a RG trailer many times and every where else across america. I have pulled trash in a 53 foot tipper trailer that usaully gross weighed 90-95000 lbs with out a jake brake, all this with no accidents or problems. Anybody know of a company that offers all of this that needs a good driver let me know I am looking and I want to find a company that I can stay with. I have had a couple of job offers, but I am being picky this time I am tired of changing jobs. Any suggestions

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

This is in your neck of the woods. They just got new KW's not to long ago. www.wvtonline.com

You live in Bloomington??? I live just South of Bryan Park! In fact, I'm chewing on a Dagwoods Sub as I type this.
Anyway, I'm trying to get my CDL, and am thinking about going to a school in Indy. They train for PAM and USA Truck.
Do you know much about either? I haven't heard anything bad about either...and think it might be the best way to get my foot in the door. It's a 1 year contract, but if they are willing to pay for the school and treat me right...it could be a great opportunity.
Any advice? How did you get your CDL? -
www.celadontrucking.com is out of Indianapolis, In. Big company though!

Hi there, I see you are a picky person that was looking for a good company, did you find one that you feel you will be able to stay with? Going to PTL tomorrow for orientation, as always I have to pay my dues. I will do so, but will also be looking for a company that will give me what your looking for, or have found as well. Your input is appreciated, thanks!

I start at Wabash Valley Transportation in two weeks. The pay is good and the hometime is good and I have been told the benefits are good. I will keep you posted about the progress of my employment and the company as soon as I start. All I have heard about this company is good things.

Oh no Logsrus, been there done that and I personally do not suggest them. would be hard to get 37 cents from them unless he opts for the per dem. (don't suggest that neither.)
I see everything you have done but I don't see where you say how long you have been driving.
If you haven't found a company I know a small one that will get you what you want but they have Freightliner Columbia's -
Hello,
Thinks for the advice on Celedon, but I have a cousin that drove for them for awhile and he said it was a nightmare. He never got his hometime like they promised him, and they were always screwing up his pay. He said he would never work for them again. I need to get home through the week and weekends and need to make good money and there are a couple of drivers that I have talked to and they seem to be doing good with WVT right now, so that's were I am going. Keep you all posted on how it goes, be safe. -
Is WVT only flatbeds?
