Recommendations for a Cb antenna to perch mount on either a Volvo or the Freightliner Columbia/Cascadia?

Ordinarily I would have jumped in with both feet by now, but as I do more repairs than new installs, I need to ask: Are the roofs in those truck models metal or fiberglass?
If metal, nearly anything that will fit physically will work, and my usual caveat stands: the taller you can make it, the better. If it's fiberglass, I've got a couple of other ideas for you that will take more space to explain.

I've always had tons of luck with Francis 4.5' Hot Rods on fiberglass trucks.

As I mentioned in another thread, I am looking at perch mounting (driver's side) either a Firestik II FS5-B or a Francis Hot Rod cb25 4.5 ft. I would need to ask other drivers whether the roofs are fiberglass, as I do not know that at this time.

I run a Hustler 1000 42" antenna. Be sure and make sure there is no paint in the threads where the the perch screws in. You might want to put a couple of nuts on the perch to use as a depth stop. I almost punched through the inside of the door when mine bottomed out. If you can find some 1/4 or 3/8' flat braid wire to use if you do not get a good ground from the door. I ran mine down behind the door hinges to the battery box and bolted it to one of the box hanger nuts, being sure to again remove the paint. The flat braid brought my SWRs down under 2 and final tuning ended with 1.3:1
