What percentage of your own product do you haul and do you see JBS getting into carrying more general freight ?

 

70 % of what we haul is our own freight. We do produce back hauls for Kroeger/King Sooper,Sunflower & Walmart. We have six sales people that do nothing but negotiate new freight lanes. We pretty much haul anything. We are not a private fleet like many think.

 

Is 10,000 miles/month avg. attainable ?

 

Had a question, I see that JBS has a satisfactory rating under Safer, but with CSA up and running would not DOT look at the SMS rating first? I know you were talking about two company's that where bought by JBS that gave you guy's some problem's. I am a former Packerland transport driver and i know that when Safstat was in place that Packerland had a really good Safstat score unless i missed something. P.S. this was a good thread until highjacked, that's to bad, i hope it gets civil again.

 

Stncold, im really interested in your company but I have 2 dot preventables in the past year and I have a lease default on my dac...would I be eligible for a driving position?

 

Driver there are 2 ratings satisfactory and unsatisfactory, they shout you down with the second. Be careful if you think about JBS, They would like to blame past good company's for there faults, But as little as 2 weeks ago I was told to unplug my QUALCOMM to make a delivery, Not asked -told...I recorded the phone calls and took pictures of the Qualcomm Dispatch.
JBS SAFTY CAN NOT DISPUTE THAT DRIVER MANIGERS TELL DRIVERS TO UNPLUG THE QUILCOMM... DOT SAYS IT IS A $2,700.00 FINE TO THE DRIVER AND $10,000 TO THE COMPANY FOR EACH OCCURANCE...
