I work for C.R. England (i know), anyways I had a minor accident this past weekend. I rubbed a pole at one of the older fuel stops. I run team with my husband who has 10 years exp. My question is England is being nasty and they have 30 days to review me and let me know if they are going to terminate or not. Am I better to find another job before they do this or wait?

You're ALWAYS better to find another job than England.
Sometimes I think they give you that 30 days so you can find a job, quit and not have to have them fire you. That way you simply resigned and don't have a firing on your history.
Believe it or not, it's a cortousy from them.xcountry2009 and chompi Thank this. -
That is what I am thinking too! I have done my 12 months I am at 15 months and I realize what I did was beyond belief stupid but it seems to me that if a company has killed 41 people in the last year I would be the least of thier worries. My dmv is clean my csa is clean and even this accident is an incident as there was no police involved the only "report" is internal because i decided to do the right thing and report it to the company. -
I would think it would be hard to leave if you're teaming with your husband. But like everyone says you'd be better off leaving and finding a better job where you can use your year of experience as a plus. There's much better jobs out there after you've gone through a year or two of driving. Just explain to the new employer what happened because I'm sure C.R. England is a type of company that wants everyone to know what you did. Was it one of those little black poles? You can imagine in my line of work when sometimes I get within inches of those poles how much we hate them!

Personally I would have been keeping my eyes out for another company from day one! Most other companies would have just sent you through a safety class. You guys are a husband/wife team so you are very valuable to any company out there and I don't think you will have a problem finding a good company to work for. Good luck!

Not hard to leave at all. We both are ready to go. So hey this makes it easier, and yep it was one of them poles !!!!

I think you just solved your problem. Go out and find a good job.
