    Would be better if the driver was put in jail, but it's a start I guess.

    I agree... assuming she was actually fooling around with her #### phone and not legitimately blinded by the sun, which is what the article states caused the first accident and the subsequent positioning of the pedestrian in the roadway.

    People just don't seem to get it. You can't concentrate on anything other than driving when you are behind the wheel. You can't be tipsy, you can't be fooling around with your phone, you can't be trying to eat a burger... you need to drive.

    It's illegal to use a cellphone while driving in Chicago. But they all still do it. I hope they put it to her.

    It is only illegal in Chicago to use a handheld cell phone.

    It's illegal state-wide in WA as well. But if you pull over to the side of the road it's legal. Or if you use a handless.

    They aren't one of the states that did a texting ban yet huh? I would think that would fall under texting if they have a ban in place on it.
