ive drove otr for about 14 years, some good companies, some bad .this last one was the worst.they payed by percentage but they wouldnt tell u what the ld payed, multiple stops, old equipment, after 3weeks out got to the yard,no check, ill just say this,14thousand miles in 23 days all they could show me was how bad of a company they were.they told me if i didnt like what i received, there is the door,we have other drivers waiting for your truck.just think about it twicebefore u try estrella freight

The only way you can tell if you are getting paid the right amount with percentage pay is to be given access to the actual freight bill. If you do not have that info then you are left in the dark as to whether you have been paid correctly.

Its all fine and dandy to "trust" your employer but verify the pay on a regular basis. If your employer is unwilling to give you the details of the freight rates and specifically what each load paid with an invoice to back it up, then you are probably being screwed and just do not realize it.

That happened to me in 99. I got paid, but I kept asking to see the real bill. I never got to see it so I quit. To this day I won't work for %. From what I have learned over the years it is the best way to cheat the driver.
