About that. Odd part is that I will get half that many miles this week and make more money. Going to take a 70,000 gallon milk silo (14' wide and 130' overall length) about a 120 miles on Tuesday and then a 12'wide to Indiana for Thursday. I got a new truck the first of January and I just broke 84,000 miles for the year.

If you don't mind me asking, how are you paid? Base RPM + od? extra for overlength? How does your company make the 120 mi load worth your time? It is good to see another company that doesn't push for lots of miles. Our trucks will run 80-120K in a year.

I dont mind at all. We are paid percentage of the load. Each load is put in a matrix. The wider, higher, longer or heavier it is the more we charge to move it. We have our certain customers who know we give excellent service and they dont mind paying a premium price for it.

That makes sense. That is exactly the type of customers I strive for. Glad someone has them.
